Vancouver Convention Centre
The award-winning Convention Centre is located on Vancouver’s waterfront and offers one of the most astounding settings in the world with a dramatic mountain backdrop. It is conveniently located in close proximity to all the major visitor amenities in downtown Vancouver.
The Convention Centre is the first ever repeat winner of the International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC) Apex award for World’s Best Convention Centre. Vancouver has consistently been named North America’s top destination for international meetings by the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).
It first served as the Canada Pavilion for the World’s Fair Expo in 1986 and has since then tripled in size by adding the West Building in 2009. The venue hosts more than 500 events each year and proudly welcomes thousands of international attendees to British Columbia’s flagship Convention Centre. It is continuously striving to create sustainable and inspiring experiences for clients, team and community. Being truly green by design and mindful of the environment, the Vancouver Convention Centre is proud to be the world’s first double LEED Platinum certified convention facility. The venue is committed to being as environmentally sustainable as possible by using the latest green technologies and adopting green operating practices. The Centre features a six-acre “living roof” and an on-site blackwater treatment plant.
